The report by Trails Team was presented to MPRC by Lisa Ketcham, the team leader. It was accepted at the September 14 meeting and is an update to the August 3 report. Midcoast Trail - Walks and Harbor District NotesWalking the Route from Miramar to Pillar Point Marsh - Spring, 2009 In several Sunday walks led by Sandy Emerson, a group of interested MPRC volunteers walked the potential route of the Coastal Trail with the purpose of identifying the segments that will make up the trail across the northern part of Half Moon Bay. Two write ups provide a record of observations and recommendations from the walks. A final review was conducted on June 20. Mirada Surf West - Coast Trail Opening Ceremony - September 29, 2009The official opening ceremony for the new Mirada Surf Section of the California Coastal Trail will be held on September 29, 2009 at 2:30pm. The site for the ceremony will be the new bridge and entry kiosk off Magellan Road in Miramar. MCC Holds Trails Forum - March 13, 2009In March the Midcoast Community Council (MCC) sponsored the most comprehensive public forum to date on Midcoast trails and related issues. A broad range of public and private agencies involved in support and management of these facilities participated. The MCC web site now provides an extensive set of documents on trails in and connecting to the Midcoast.
